A case of thyroid associated ophthalmopathy

چکیده

Thyroid-associated Ophthalmopathy (TAO) is an ocular condition that frequently manifests with thyroid disfunction, and the most common extrathyroidal manifestation of Graves’ disease. It involves organ specific autoimmune reaction can affect gland, orbital periorbital tissue. The primarily affects women it commonest cause unilateral bilateral axial proptosis in young middle -aged adults. clinical presentation may vary from mild disease to severe irreversible sight threatening complications. Here we report a case 35-years old female who presented our OPD complaints protrusion both eye, diminution vision pain, redness unable move eye last 2 months. She was known hyperthyroidism one year on regular antihyperthyroid medication.
